Booth Tarkington Teachers are “Ba Da Ba Ba Bah, Lovin’ it” at McTeacher’s Night

Arlington Heights|Booth Tarkington Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to help raise money for the school’s PTO.
Teachers and support staff from Tarkington volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019, at the Arlington Heights McDonald’s located on Dundee Road. Where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.
The Tarkington staff members worked various jobs throughout the restaurant during this three-hour fundraising event. These jobs included, wearing an apple pie costume, apple pie seller, making ice cream treats, Front counter helper, delivering meals to customers, calling out orders, and working the drive-thru.
The proceeds from the Apple Pies sold went directly to benefit the Schools PTO. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were also donated directly to the Tarkington PTO.
David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Arlington Heights McDonald’s is delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
“We are proud to serve the families of the Tarkington community through the McTeacher’s Night event,” Bear continued. “In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”
