Highland Teachers are “Ba Da Ba Ba Bah, Lovin’ it” at McTeacher’s Night
Elgin| Highland Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to raise money for the Highland PTO.
Teachers and support staff from Highland volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019, at the Elgin McDonald’s on Larkin Avenue, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.
Highland staff members worked various jobs throughout the restaurant during this three-hour fundraising event. These jobs included, wearing an apple pie costume, apple pie seller, making ice cream treats, Front counter helper, delivering meals to customers, calling out orders, and working the drive-thru.
The proceeds from the 240 Apple Pies sold went directly to benefit The Highland Elementary PTO. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were also donated directly to the schools PTO.
David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Elgin McDonald’s on Larkin is delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
Thank you to Highland Elementary PTO President, Audrey Hinchley for organizing the entire event.
