WESTCHESTER | Westchester Girls Softball had the bases loaded at the Westchester McDonald’s. Coaches and Board members from WGS volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, May 14, at the Westchester McDonald’s located on 31st St., where they served players and their families in a fundraiser for the team.

Carol Michels and Jon Baymon tended the apple pie box during the night. While Coaches Jenny Michels and Rich Ryan did an outstanding job selling pies to customers throughout the night. The pies were donated to the team, for sale at the event, by David Bear owner-operator of the Westchester McDonald’s.

The proceeds from the sale of 110 pies went directly to benefit the team. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sales were donated directly to Westchester Girls Softball, which plans to use the money for equipment, umpires, and their end of season banquet.

David Bear and the Bear Family Restaurants were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for sports in Westchester. The WGS Night was courtesy of the Bear Family Restaurants and McDonald’s Owner-Operator, David Bear. Like us on Facebook and visit our Bear Website.
