Local teachers serve students and families on McTeacher’s Night to raise money for College Scholarships.

Westchester| Divine Providence students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the school.

Teachers from Divine Providence volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, May 2nd, at the Westchester McDonald’s located on 31st Street where they served students and their families in a fundraising event.

Mrs. Scavelli and Ms. Powell tended the apple pie box during the night while several teachers sold the pies alongside them.

Principal Foleno worked hard at the drive-thru window to raise funds for Divine Providence.

The pies teams did an outstanding job selling pies to customers during this event. The proceeds from the sale of 82 pies went directly to benefit the school as well as twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales.

David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Westchester McDonald’s, was delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.

“McTeacher’s Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Bear said.

“We are proud to serve the families of the Divine Providence Community through the McTeacher’s Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”

This event was hosted by the Bear Family Restaurants and McDonald’s Owner-Operator, David Bear. Like us on Facebook and visit our Website .
