St. Paul Lutheran School in Mount Prospect held their annual McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser at the Mount Prospect McDonald’s on Rand Road.
A McTeacher’s Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald’s and then giving a percentage of the night’s sales back to the local school. A little spring rain didn’t stop the fundraising efforts for St. Paul Lutheran school.
On Tuesday, April 30th, the restaurant was taken over by eleven teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Principal Heinze and Assistant Principal Young worked hard all night alongside the St. Paul Lutheran teachers. Teachers also handed out orders, cleaned tables, served drinks, and even dressed up in an apple pie costume. Teachers Young and Lonergan dressed in the Pie outfit and what a blast they had mingling with all families and taking pictures. Teachers Dill, Tyrcha, and Menze sold the pies. The funds earned from the Pie sales and dinners will go directly to the school for teacher classroom supplies.
A special thank you goes to St. Paul teacher aid and parent Lisa Makris, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended. The Mount Prospect McDonald’s General Manager is honored to help with the fundraising efforts for all the Mount Prospect schools she works with.
