Hoffman Estates | St. Peter Lutheran School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the school.
Teachers from St. Peter Lutheran School of Schaumburg, volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, February 26th, at the Hoffman Estates McDonald’s located on Roselle Road, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for St. Peter School.
Teachers Cheryl Moglia and Josiah Huhn tended the apple pie box during the night while several teachers, including Principal Steve Zielke, sold the pies.
The proceeds from the sale of 122 pies went directly to benefit the school, as well as twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales.
To make this night even more fun the St. Peter Lutheran School children’s chorus sang a few songs and made everyone smile. They did a fantastic job!
David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Hoffman Estates McDonald’s, was delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
“McTeacher’s Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Bear said.
“We are proud to serve the families of the St. Peter Lutheran Community through the McTeacher’s Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”
