Owner – Operator David Bear and The Bear Family Restaurants invited children of all ages to special celebrations during the first three weekends in December to enjoy complimentary events. This all took place at the newly renovated restaurant, located on Lake Cook Road in Wheeling
The first event on December 1st was the amazing Magic of Magician Gary Kantor. Gary wowed all the guests in the restaurant by performing tricks that made everyone wonder ‘how did he do that’? The Chan family from Wheeling came to enjoy lunch and see Gary the magician because their daughter Maegan would like to learn the art of magic.
The second event took place on December 8th. Face painting by Lynda Mahalik from painting faces and spaces had children lining up to patiently wait their turn to have Lynda turn their face into a beautiful work of art. Sisters Ashley and Daisy Ozuna chose Wonder Woman and a unicorn and were proud to show everyone Girl Power!
The last event celebrating the Grand Re-Opening of the Wheeling McDonald’s was Balloon Creations by Rosie the Elf On December 15th. Kids were thrilled to choose from various designs provided by Rosie. Many Wheeling kids left the restaurant on Saturday with smiles glued to their faces.
All Three courtesy events were part of the Wheeling McDonald’s Grand Re-Opening festivities. The restaurant lobby closed temporarily in October and November to undergo massive renovations and re-opened to the public in late November, as the McDonald’s of the future.
The restaurant features state-of-the-art technology upgrades, that include full-service self-order Kiosk’s, table service, and of course Mobile Order & Pay and McDelivery available on Uber Eats. The technology upgrades, a part of the McDonald’s Corporation mobile platform expansion, enable the Bear’s to “evolve with customers”.
“We’ve introduced many options for a more efficient and personal experience,” Bear said.
“Customers can order by mobile app, they can visit curbside and we’ll run it out, as well as the existing traditional ways. They can pay in different ways and customize their food options in different ways. We’ve added more choice and variety to keep up with the growing changes and demands.”
This location also features an amazing PlayPlace that the children can enjoy for years to come.
David Bear thanked the community for all their support during the renovations and the Grand Re-Opening events.
“We are so proud to have this beautiful restaurant on Lake Cook Rd. and proud to be a part of the growing Wheeling community.”
