Bloomingdale | Stratford Middle School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the 8th-grade end of the year activities
Teachers from Stratford Middle School District, 93, volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, September 26th, at the Bloomingdale McDonald’s, located at 72 Stratford Square Mall, where they served students and their families in a fundraising event.
Mr. Patrick Dawson, Principal of Stratford Middle School, alongside Stanley The Stallion, the school mascot and Lance Moore tended the apple pie box during the night.
Lance Moore, a Math teacher at Stratford Middle School, did an outstanding job multiplying sales when selling pies to customers throughout the night. The proceeds from the principal, the stallion and Moore’s sale of 125 pies went directly to benefit the 8th-grade students. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were donated directly to the school, which plans to use the money to help pay for activities that the 8th graders are having at the end of the year.
David Bear, Owner Operator of the Bloomingdale McDonald’s, located at 72 Stratford Drive, and the Bear Family were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
“McTeacher’s Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Bear said.
