Carol Stream Elementary teachers raise more than money, they make memories
Local teachers serve students and families at McTeacher’s Night
Bloomingdale | Carol Stream Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the School.
Teachers from Carol Stream School District 93 volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, September 18th at the McDonald’s located on Stratford Drive. The teachers worked hard to serve students and their families in a fundraiser for Carol Stream Elementary School.
Carol Stream School staff members, Pavlicek, Mikusch, Jaje, and Curran, all did a fantastic job selling Apple Pies alongside Amy Jerabek and Pat Wanzung, who each tended the apple pie box during the night.
“McTeacher’s Night is one of our most successful, if not, our most successful Dine Out event of the school year. The staff at this location is amazing to work with.” Said Rosa Arnone-Getzloff, Carol Stream Elementary PTA President.
The proceeds from the school’s sale of 192 pies went directly to benefit The Carol Stream Elementary PTA. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were donated directly to the school as well.
PTA President Rosa Arnone- Getzloff also said ”The $734.00 raised during McTeacher’s Night will be used to help host no-cost events for students such as fun fair and movies nights, as well as help to offset the cost of field trips and provide teachers with funds to use in their classrooms to help enrich the students learning environments. We Love it here!”
David Bear, Owner Operator of this Bloomingdale McDonald’s, was delighted to participate in this worthy cause for education and the community.
“McTeacher’s Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Mr. Bear said.
“We are proud to serve the families of the Carol Stream community through the McTeacher’s Night event,” Mr. Bear continued. “In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”
Mr. David Bear donated a case of apple pies to the school that were sold at the event
