St. Thomas More Catholic School held their second McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser at the Elgin McDonald’s on Larkin Ave. The night like St. Thomas More was amazing. A McTeacher’s Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald’s and then giving a percentage of the night’s sales back to the local school. What a great night for St. Thomas More Catholic School.

On Wednesday, March 14th also 3.14 Pie Day, the restaurant was taken over by St. Thomas More teachers and Principal Keane excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers handed out orders, cleaned tables, made ice cream treats, served drinks, and even dressed up in a Pie costume. Preschool teacher Patrice Delaney dressed in the Pie outfit almost the entire night and what a blast she had mingling with all the families and taking pictures. Principal Sonja Keane was also in attendance the entire night and enjoyed the evening.

Added to this night of FUNdraising was a pass for each student in attendance for a no uniform for a day. The funds earned from the Pie sales will go directly to support items needed for teacher classrooms.

The night was extra special for the families that came early and had the opportunity to enjoy the music by the school band at 5:00 PM.

A special thank you goes to Principal Sonja Keane, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
