Divine Providence School holds its second annual FUNdraiser at the Westchester McDonald’s

Divine Providence School held its second annual McTeacher’s Night on Tuesday, January 30th at the Westchester McDonald’s on 31st Street.

A McTeacher’s Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers and staff work at McDonald’s and then giving a percentage of the night’s sales back to the local school.

On January 30th, the restaurant was taken over by teachers, staff members and students from Divine Providence excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for the school.

There were thirteen teachers, staff and students who worked from the school including Principal Karen Foleno and Asst. Principal Karen Blase, all who volunteered the entire night.  The McTeacher’s jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling apple pies and even dressing up as an apple pie.

Special thank you goes to Jaimie Scavelli and Lori Caruso who volunteered to dress up as an apple pie while families donated funds for their own delicious pie!  Thank you to Linda Hawkins who organized the event.  Divine Providence School teachers, staff and students worked hard and with excitement, while the families enjoyed a spectacular evening.

Divine Providence School raised a total of $935 during their event.
