On Wednesday the restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their famiies to raise money for St. Paul Lutheran School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers and principal behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.
Eleven teachers and staff members worked from the elementary school. The McTeacher’s jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies and even dressing up in a pie costume–all duties which were executed with great enthusiasm.
St. Paul Lutheran School Preschool teacher Angela Young had a blast dancing around the restaurant in a pie costume. They were encouraging the families to make a donation and receive a delicious hot apple pie.
A special thank you goes to St. Paul Lutheran PTO member Candice Prieto who organized the event as well as everyone that worked and attended the event. St. Paul Lutheran teachers worked hard and with excitement, while the families enjoyed a spectacular evening. St. Paul Lutheran School plan to use the money raised for technology in the classrooms and field trip transportation.
St. Paul Lutheran School raised $888.00 at the event. The school reached their goal of selling over 200 pies!
