The new Mount Prospect McDonald’s located at 13 W. Rand Rd. celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon, cake cutting and VIP party on Wednesday night, December 16th. It was a standing room only crowd at McDonald’s. David Bear, owner operator, is proud to bring Mount Prospect an upscale new McDonald’s for the community to enjoy for years to come. At the VIP party David Bear welcomed friends, colleagues, Village employees, Mount Prospect Chamber members, and representatives from the local schools for a special grand opening VIP event. First and foremost important was a presentation made by State Senator Matt Murphy and State Representative David Harris. State Representative David Harris shared how thrilled he was that Mr. Bear employs over 1000 people in his 18 restaurants in the state of Illinois. Representative Harris welcomed David to the community and also commented on how proud Illinois is to have McDonald’s be an Illinois Company. Senator Murphy also welcomed Mr. Bear and commented on how the sales tax revenue at McDonald’s will help the Village. Mayor Juracek also spoke at the event and told David how thrilled they are to have him at this location. Mayor Juracek also told David Bear that she and community were so thrilled that McDonald’s chose the Village of Mount Prospect to open a new restaurant.

David Bear was honored to have State Senator Murphy, State Representative Harris and Mayor Juracek, to share in the celebration. Also in attendance was many Village Trustees, all the Mount Prospect Chamber Members and many other Mount Prospect community VIP’s. Additional speakers at the event included the following: Jim Carras, McDonald’s Chicago Region General Manager and of course the owner, David Bear. The event featured complimentary McDonald’s appetizers, and smoothies,and of course the cake. The event featured a special appearance by Ronald McDonald.
