Holmes Middle School Gets New Sound System With The Help Of McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser
Holmes Middle School students gave teachers and administrators an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the PTO and school.
Teachers, support staff and Principal Martin Hopkins from Holmes Middle School volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, October 2nd, at the Wheeling McDonald’s located on Dundee Road, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.
Mr. Martin Hopkins, Principal, Holmes Middle School, alongside teacher Christy Gouletas tended the front counter while teachers Jodie Greenspan, Gisle Raube and Jackie Flores danced around the restaurant in an apple pie costume encouraging students to purchase an apple pie.
The proceeds from the 200 apple pies sold will be used to help purchase a new sound system for the middle school. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were donated directly to the Holmes Middle School PTO with funds also going towards the new sound system.
David Bear, Owner Operator of the Wheeling McDonald’s and the Bear family were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
“This is our 3rd McTeacher’s Night and a 3rd success! We can’t thank Mr. Bear and his staff at the Wheeling McDonald’s enough for their generosity.” said parent and PTO member Katie Sedin.
Principal Hopkins said, “Thank you to Mr. Bear for his generosity and support for Holmes Middle School. It was a great night for the middle school students and families.”
