The Rockford Police Department Welcomes Ronald McDonald to National Night Out

Rockford, IL. – The community came together to celebrate National Night Out at Levings Park in Rockford on Tuesday, August 7th.

Rockford’s annual National Night Out event brings residents together to build a healthier, safer community, generate support for anti-crime programs and strengthen police and community relations.

Bear Family Restaurants, who own and operate four Rockford area McDonald’s, strongly support the efforts of the Rockford Police Department.

“We are proud of our role in the Rockford area. We have always been involved in the communities we serve and are happy to see the Rockford community come together for crime prevention,” said McDonald’s Owner/Operator David Bear.

Festivities included entertainment, food, and refreshments. Attendees also enjoyed taking pictures with special guest Ronald McDonald, who was honored to attend the event to celebrate the culmination of the year-long crime prevention efforts in the Rockford neighborhoods.

Guest Relations Ambassador for Bear Family Restaurants, Edna Moore-Washington, handed out free Vanilla Cone coupons for the families in attendance and had fun taking many pictures.

The Bear family looks forward to continuing their active role in the Rockford communities for many years to come.
