Lyons Township High School held their annual McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser at the La Grange McDonald’s on La Grange Rd. A McTeacher’s Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald’s and then giving a percentage of the night’s sales back to the local school.

On Tuesday, May 22nd, the restaurant was taken over by sixteen Lyons Township High School teachers and administrative staff, including Principal Dr. Brian Waterman, Associate Principal Kevin Brown and Assistant Principal Kris Costopoulos, excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers also handed out orders, cleaned tables, served drinks and sold many delicious hot apple pies.

During this event, Lyons Township High School staff members, Traci Hirstein, Julie Loftus, Aurora Colon and Karen DalPorto dressed in a pie costume while Darragh McDermott, Ron Malekovic, Melinda Edwards and Aurora Colon escorted them with a tray of Hot Apple Pies to sell.

The school will donate funds earned from the evening to Relay for Life, a charity that Assistant Principal Kris Costopoulos has supported for years.

A special thank you goes to Assistant Principal Kris Costopoulos who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
